The Three Bonus Types You'll See

Deposit match bonuses give you a percentage of your first deposit as bonus funds (e.g. "100% up to $500"). Free bet bonuses return your stake if the bet loses but not on wins. Risk-free bets refund a losing first wager as site credit. Each type has very different real-world value.

Rollover: The Only Number That Matters

A "$3,000 bonus" with 30x rollover means you must place $90,000 in qualifying wagers before withdrawing. A "$500 bonus" with 5x rollover only needs $2,500 in wagers. The smaller headline number is almost always the better offer.

Minimum Odds Rules

Most bonuses require bets at -200 or longer (some are stricter at -110). If you plan to clear rollover on heavy NFL favorites, check the odds floor first — many bettors get stuck because their bets don't qualify.

How to Calculate Bonus EV

Rough formula: EV ≈ Bonus × (1 − house edge × rollover). At -110 both sides, house edge is ~4.5%. A $100 bonus with 5x rollover has EV ≈ $100 × (1 − 0.045 × 5) = $77.50. Same $100 bonus at 20x rollover: $100 × (1 − 0.045 × 20) = $10.

Rollover applies to deposit + bonus (not just bonus)
Maximum bet cap while rollover is active (e.g. "$50 per bet")
Expiry under 30 days
Parlays or system bets excluded from rollover
Withdrawal limits on bonus winnings (e.g. cap at 5x bonus)
